MELE BROOMES -SURROUNDING BY LISTENING TO MANIFESTATIONS OF LOVE AND SOLIDARITY #4

24/10/2020 - 24/10/2020

A gentle dance music video by Mele Broomes, followed by a hosted Q and A with poet Degna Stone

A reflection. A desire. A search from the body for Joy. A love mourn.

“As the navigation of closeness locks horns with trust. I start to see the rejection that I replay imaginatively run parallel with silent sensuality of intimacy. Scared to touch, to be touched but want to be touched. I am mapping the inner battle and inner battery whilst my body searches for joy and rest.”

Mele presents a gentle and nuanced dance music video. She weaves her vocal composition with movement and finding the capability in slow gestures and expansive elongates dances. This is a sensual story of growing with and through the objectively of her body, skin and words.
This event is part of Black Gold Arts Festival 2020.
